You're Not Lazy
If I had a nickel for every time a client tells me that she was just being lazy...
Wait, do people still use nickels?
Maybe I should substitute crypto.
Either way, I hear clients refer to themselves as lazy multiple times a week, usually when talking about getting exercise in.
Meanwhile, they're also running kids all over the place, managing needs of aging parents, working a job and running a household.
Heck, if you're reading this email, you are indeed doing something. You're not lazy.
But you might be:
Overwhelmed by too many choices and not sure where to start.
Dealing with changes to your body and your energy, and finding it more difficult to rally and do something on an empty tank.
Dealing with a busy, exhausting, unpredictable life.
And you've definitely been trying your best, even if it doesn't feel like it.
Be gentle with yourself today.
If a friend told you all of the things she was juggling, all of the emotional and physical labor she was managing, you'd kindly remind her that she is doing more than she thinks.
I'm just popping in here today to remind you that you're doing more than you think.
Go easy on yourself.
